A special event will be held this weekend to remember, honor and teach about the sacrifice of veterans.
Following a ceremony, 850 wreaths will be placed on the graves of local veterans at North Cemetery in Butler at noon on Saturday as part of Wreaths Across America.
The Presentation of Wreaths is a nationwide effort at over 1,200 locations including Arlington National Cemetery started in 1992 to raise awareness of the need to honor veterans.
The public is invited to attend or volunteer to help with this event.
