The Pittsburgh Steelers have cut cornerback Steven Nelson. A move that will save the team over $8 million in salary cap room for 2021. It will still cost them over $6 million in so-called “dead money”. The off-season moves will force the Steelers to completely rebuild their secondary around veteran Joe Haden. The Steelers recently re-signed Cam Sutton, but have just Justin Layne as players with significant defensive backfield experience.
