Steven A. Macefe, Jr. 76 of Butler passed away Friday morning, March 26th, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice after his third battle with cancer. He was born in Butler on May 20, 1944 to the late Steven Macefe, Sr and Rose Vicari Macefe. Steve graduated from Butler High School in 1961. He then went on to honorably serve his country with the U. S. Air Force. Steve graduated from Robert Morris University with a degree in business. His career path led him to International Staple and Machine Company where he retired after 26 years as accountant, controller, consultant, and 2 years as President and CEO. Steve was proficient and skilled in many areas of life. He especially loved Classical and Doo-Wop music. He was a talented pianist, a gift he shared with his granddaughter Zoey. Steve truly enjoyed buying, selling, refurbishing and trading his enormous array of Gillette razors and memorabilia and Lionel Trains. Even into his later years he was an avid exercise enthusiast, physically fit, and was usually working in his garden, at the YMCA, or taking long walks at St. Michael’s Cemetery. Steve will forever be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. He was the father to Ryan (JaNae), Corey and Jillian Macefe and the grandfather to Zoey Snyder and Ian Macefe. He will always be missed by his beloved nieces and nephew and their families and his numerous cousins, all of whom he greatly cherished. Steve’s family was blessed to include Chris, Keenan and Jocelyn Holko. He also leaves behind his beloved Yorkie, Jack. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joan Thomas. His burial and Veteran services will be held graveside on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 11am in Saint Michael Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the SPENCER D.
