There were 48 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths for Butler County Tuesday.
As of Monday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 24 patients for the coronavirus, with two COVID patients in the ICU.
Statewide hospitalizations are continuing their upward climb, with now more than 2,800 receiving treatment; that number has been on the rise since the middle of March, when hospitalizations were as low as 1,450.
There were 4,577 new cases and 79 additional deaths for the state Tuesday. It should be noted that death totals are typically higher on Tuesdays due to a lag in reporting over the weekend from the state Department of Health.
