A new project will aim to help improve fish habitat in a waterway at Alameda Park.
The Connoquenessing Watershed Alliance is coordinating an effort to install new habitat improvement devices in and along Sullivan Run within the park.
The devices will also help flood control and bank stabilization organizers say.
The project will run from May 31st to June 7th as workers will be installing the devices on sections of the stream near the Carousel Shelter in the lower section of the park.
Organizers are asking that people avoid the construction areas as heavy equipment will be used to construct the devices.
