Two Lawrence County residents are facing charges of sexual exploitation of children.
61-year-old David Bates of Ellwood City and 33-year-old Tamara Kreitzer of New Castle were both indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh yesterday.
Department of Justice officials say it happened from July into October last year when Bates and Kreitzer coerced minors to engage in sexually explicit activities. The indictment adds that Kreitzer produced the images and sent them to Bates.
Both are facing up to 70 years in prison and a fine of $750,000.
