Anyone interested in helping at local state park or enjoying the beauty of nature will have an opportunity this weekend.
Volunteers are needed at Moraine State Park on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help paint over graffiti on the Route 528 bridge abutments. Participants are asked to dress for working outdoors as well as bring a lunch and water.
McConnells Mill State Park is hosting a one mile Waterfall Hike on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. The Park Naturalist will lead the hike leaving from the Kildoo Falls while discussing local geology, the Kildoo Trail mill, and waterfall safety. Participants should wear sturdy hiking boots.
