A local group will be holding a ceremony in downtown Butler Saturday to honor the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The General Richard Butler Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will be unveiling a marker commemorating the men and women who were involved in fighting for American independence in front of the Butler County Courthouse.
The ceremony will include a variety of speakers, laying of the wreath and more.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
