There’s a push in Harrisburg to allow teenagers to get the COVID vaccine and other shots without parental consent.
Representative Dan Frankel of Squirrel Hill says he plans to unveil a bill that would allow teens 14 and older to get vaccines that have been recommended by the CDC.
Frankel believes that teens have the right to get vaccines that protect their health, even if their parents don’t agree.
Local State Representative Aaron Bernstine however voiced his opposition to the potential bill, arguing that these are “decisions 8th graders shouldn’t be making without the guidance of their parents.”
