High School Sports:
–The Knoch Girls Tennis team defeated South Park 4-1 in the WPIAL Class 2A Team semifinals Monday. The Knights will meet Sewickley Academy in the championship match after Sewickley shutout Beaver 5-0 in the other semifinal.
Ice Hockey:
–Butler fell to Meadville 8-4 last night. Brody Simko led Butler with two goals. Colton Gregory had a goal and an assist. Parker Worsley scored the other Butler goal. Adam Grasha, Trevor Ackelson and Adam Deal had assists. Meadville scored three power play goals and also scored two empty-net goals. Butler’s next game is Monday, October 25th at the Frozen Pond when they face Mars. The puck drops at 7:10pm.
–Fox Chapel defeated Freeport 1-0. Tyler Lang stopped 34 of 35 shots for the Yellow Jackets.

–Karns City-12 Kennedy Catholic-0. McKenna Martin led the Gremlins with four goals.
Boys Soccer:

–Karns City-9 Forest Area-0. The Gremlins improved to 13-2 this season.
Girls Volleyball:

–AC Valley-3 Venango Catholic-0.
Slippery Rock golfer Jacob Wolak finished in the top-30 of more than 100 golfers Monday at the PIAA Class 2A Individual championships in York. Wolak shot an 82, which was 10 strokes off the leading pace. Ethan Ellis of North Catholic shot an 85. Jacob Felsing of Moniteau shot a 90.
At the Girls 2A championship – Karns City’s Chloe Fritch shot an 85 which was 17th overall.
