Many local residents and Butler County officials gathered at the Butler Country Club for the Gaiser Center’s Annual Appreciation Luncheon this week.
On Wednesday, October 20, attendees had the opportunity to listen to multiple guests speak, including the new director, Joseph Mahoney. Mahoney has more than 15 years of experience in behavior health and took over as Director earlier this year.
Also, presenting at the luncheon was the new medical director, Dr. Thomas Brophy. Dr. Brophy talked about the importance of the treatments at the Gaiser Center, including medication treatment for drug and alcohol abuse. He also expressed his appreciated and respect of the Gaiser Center.
The Gaiser Center aims to empower individuals in the process of recovery. The center began as a men’s drop-in program and has since grown to a comprehensive resource that focuses on long-term treatment options for both men and women.
