Motorists should be aware of a local road closure planned by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
According to PennDOT, a portion of Old Route 8 South in Middlesex Township will be closed beginning 7 a.m. Monday morning.
The permanent closure will occur from the intersection with Route 228 to the intersection with Parks Road in order to allow crews to establish a cul-de-sac in its place which will improve site distance and safety.
All traffic will be detoured using Parks Road to Route 228 East to Old Route 8 South.
