A former leader of the Democratic party in Butler has died.
Larry Kriess passed away this past Sunday. Kriess was the former chairman of the Butler County Democratic Committee and also was on the Pennsylvania State Committee in Harrisburg.
The Connoquenessing native grew up on his family farm on Kriess Road before getting involved in local politics.
All services will be private.
Kriess was 85.
