A familiar face will be helping out at the Mars Area High School as the current principal will be absent from school.
Earlier this week, the Mars Area School Board appointed Richard Cornell to take over as principal at the High School beginning March 1st.
Current Principal Lindsay Rosswog will be on maternity leave through April 29th.
Cornell is retired from the Mars Area School District after 13 years as the principal of the Mars Area Middle School from 2002 to 2015. Cornell also filled in as the substitute principal at Mars High School in the fall of 2016.
