One person died in a pedestrian accident this morning on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
It happened around 3 a.m. near the Beaver Valley exit of the Turnpike in Beaver County.
Our news partners at WPXI report that a pedestrian was hit by a tractor trailer. That person is believed to have died on impact.
But, the accident led to an hours-long closure of the turnpike. The westbound lane was shut down in between Cranberry and Beaver Valley for more than four hours.
