The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Butler County Thursday.
Even though we’ll enjoy the warmer temperatures today, forecasts predict a lot of rain. The Butler area is estimated to see anywhere from one to two inches of rain.
Although the entire county is under the watch, the National Weather Service did specifically mention the City of Butler as an area that could see impacts.
The West End is an area of concern if there’s a significant amount of rain, along with the Connoquenessing Creek and Slippery Rock Creek.
Meterologists also warn of gusty winds throughout the day as well.
Temperatures will then drop starting around 8 p.m. tonight, going down to a low of 21.
