Efforts to help curb flooding in southwestern parts of the county are continuing.
Cranberry Township recently approved a resolution that gives financial support to the Southwest Butler County Stormwater Planning Group.
The organization has been around for two years and includes multiple townships and boroughs. Each community is contributing $2,000 to help study a stormwater plan.
Currently, the group is looking at a series of projects and prioritizing which would have the most impact.
County officials say there’s an opportunity to leverage funds with recent money set aside for infrastructure.
