Local business owners looking to connect with customers the way that Fortune 500 companies do are using the power of music with a little help from a man who calls himself Jingle Jim.
Jim Reilly stopped by the Butler Radio Network earlier this week for a series of 15 minute meetings with perspective clients to talk about how taglines, slogans, and a catchy tune can positively impact business.
“I study the national companies, and I sit down with anyone that will listen. I suggest to local businesses that they should market their business like it’s a Fortune 500 company. You don’t have to cover the whole country, you just have to cover your small part of the world,” Reilly said. “If you use the amazing power of music, melody, rhyme and rhythm, you dollars are going to stretch so much further.”
Reilly used to work in radio in New Jersey but for the past 25 years, he has been crisscrossing the country creating catchy jingles to get across the messages of a wide variety of local businesses.
Reilly works with about a dozen talented producers and musicians to craft each jingle to the unique needs of each business. While he embraces newer technologies like podcasts and YouTube, Reilly is a believer in the power of radio.
“Nothing is going to replace the power of being on local radio. That’s where my heart is and it’s where I spend 100 percent of my time. I don’t work with television stations, because I really feel like radio is the right place for local companies to build their brand,” Reilly said.
Any local business owner with interest in learning more about the creation of a unique jingle to help connect with clients should contact the Butler Radio Network for more information.
