Butler high school graduate David Bocci has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Men’s Swimming ‘Freshman of the Year”. Now at Clarion University, Bocci won the 200-Butterfly during the PSAC championships. He also took second place in the 200-Individual Medley and the 200-Backstroke. David broke the Clarion program record in the 500-Freestyle early in the Golden Eagle’s regular season.
He is the second Golden Eagle men’s swimmer in the past three years to win the honor. Bocci won WPIAL championships in the 100-Butterfly and 500-Freestyle while at Butler.
