An event later this week at Slippery Rock University will focus on a message of unity to eradicate discrimination and racism.
An event called A Civil Discourse is taking place Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Miller Theater in the Performing Arts Center.
Guest speakers Robert George and Cornel West plan to discuss topics including freedom of speech, freedom of thought, the Black Lives Matter movement, and reactions identified as cancel culture.
In addition to the hour-long presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to engage the speakers with a 30 minute question and answer period as well as a 30 minute meet and greet.
This free event is open to SRU students, faculty, staff, and other invited guests with tickets required for entry through the SRU website.
