The Butler County Community College Golf team captured the Region 20 championship which wrapped up Monday. BC3 held off Anne Arundel Community College by 23 strokes with a two-day total of 629. The Pioneers Troy Loughry, a Grove City high school graduate, was medalist with back-to-back 73’s and was named to the All-Region Team, along with teammate Liam Kosior, from Neshannock, who had rounds of 77 and 79. BC3 completed an undefeated spring season at 10-0, and will become the fifth BC3 golf team to compete at the junior college national championship in Chatauqua June 7th thru 10th.
Other members of the BC3 golf team include: Collin Witouski (from Eden Christian School), Jack Mason (Freeport) and Tanner Hohmann (Grove City). The Pioneers are led by head coach Bill Miller.
