The South Butler County School District is moving forward with the process of designing and undertaking a renovation project.
At their meeting Wednesday night, school board members heard from representatives of the design and construction management firms about options and possible reconfiguration of existing space to get the most impact for the $34 million that was borrowed.
The board also approved a motion that directs administrators to work with those companies to prepare contracts and apply for permits leading to the instillation of multi-purpose synthetic turf at the stadium. The exact price of that project is not yet known.
A meeting to get feedback from students, faculty, staff, and community members is planned for Wednesday, June 22nd at 7 p.m. in the Knoch Middle School Library.
