The Butler Area School Board is now accepting applications from people interested in filling the remainder of a term that runs through November of 2023.
The only requirements for perspective candidates are applicants must be at least 18 years old, a resident of the district for at least one year, and a citizen of Pennsylvania of “good moral character”.
Those interested should submit a letter indicating reasons for wanting to serve on the board along with a resume to the Board secretary at the Butler Administration Building before 3:30 p.m. one week from today (June 30).
The board anticipates interviewing candidates during a public meeting the evening of July 11th at the Butler Intermediate High School. Virtual accommodations are available for those unable to attend in person. The board is also expected to make a decision and appointment at that same meeting.
