Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Charles Johnson has passed away at the age of 50. Johnson was the Steelers top draft pick in 1994. He played five seasons in Pittsburgh catching 247 passes for 3,400 yards and 15 touchdowns. He became a 1,000-yard receiver in 1996. Johnson went on to play for Philadelphia, New England and Buffalo before retiring in 2002. He was part of New England’s Super Bowl-winning team in 2001. Johnson was currently serving as an assistant athletic director for a high school in North Carolina.
