Ryan Randell Burd, age 40, of Butler, PA passed away on September 14, 2022, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh after suffering a massive stroke on September 3, 2022.
Ryan was born on November 23, 1981, to Randell William Burd and Carla Michelle Werner at Butler Hospital. He graduated from Butler Area School System, class of 2000. He played on the Butler High School Football Team and attended the Vocational Technical School for Auto-Body. Upon graduation, Ryan continued his work and taught at the Auto-Body Vocational Technical School. Later, Ryan went to work for Judson Auto Body. He earned his Master Level Certification and worked for Cammisa’s Auto Body. He won the PPG scholarship for his outstanding work in paint and design.
Ryan began his family with his marriage to Theresa Brumagin in 2002. During their ten-year marriage they welcomed their three children: Emma, Rory, and Alyssa.
Ryan continued to build his life with his beloved fiancée, Megan Moran, who have known one another since kindergarten, but reconnected in 2015 at First Church, spending the last eight years together.
Ryan had many special gifts but most importantly he had a heart of gold and a smile that touched Heaven. He had a contagious sense of humor and was there for anyone in need. To know Ryan was to love him. Ryan loved music, playing guitar, and singing, but most of all he loved spending time with his children and family.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents William and Violet Burd; and maternal grandfather, William Werner.
He is survived by his five siblings: Aaron Burd, Lisa Delo, Nicole Brousseau, Christina Virgil (DeAndre), and Angela Uzelac; his parents and their spouses, Randell Burd (Maura); Carla Gagnon (Richard); his step-father Frederic Charles Uzelac; his grandmother, Monalene Ella Werner; his fiancée, Megan Moran and her loving parents, Richard and Debra Moran, his two nieces: Monalene and Aynslei; his five nephews: Aaron, Isaiah, Christian, Malachi, and William; dog-nephew, Murray; and three of the greatest loves of his life—his children: Emma, Rory, and Alyssa.
Visitation will be held at the SPENCER GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE ROAD, BUTLER, PA 16001 on Friday, September 16th from 5-7pm. The memorial service celebrating Ryan’s brief but beautiful life, will be held immediately after at 7pm.
