Pennsylvania will be investing in more electric vehicle infrastructure for the future.
PennDOT and Governor Tom Wolf’s office announced that the Keystone State was awarded $25.4 million to invest in clean transportation. The money comes from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The money will go toward increasing the number of electric vehicle chargers across the state.
It comes as the number of electric vehicles has increased in the last couple of years. In 2019, there were just shy of 10,000 registered EVs in Pennsylvania—that number now is above 30,000.
