Pennsylvania’s Chief Justice of the state Supreme Court has died.
Max Baer passed away at his home near Pittsburgh over the weekend.
Baer was first elected to the state Supreme Court in 2003 and was sworn-in as chief justice in 2021.
He was set to retire later this year after reaching the mandatory retirement age.
Baer was a native of Dormont and graduated from Duquesne’s law school.
Baer was 74.
