A local lawmaker is being recognized by an organization that helps promote small businesses.
The National Federation of Independent Business named State Senator Scott Hutchinson as one of their 10 “Guardians of Small Business”
As chair of the Senate Finance Committee, Hutchinson sponsored legislation that moved state tax law on expense deductions more in line with federal law which the NFIB says improved equality for small business owners.
The NFIB is an organization that advocates for small and independent business operators through limiting government overreach.
