Congressman Mike Kelly recently expressed his gratitude that a bill that puts more funding toward childhood cancer research has been renewed.
The STAR (Survivorship, Treatment, Access, and Research) Act was first approved in 2018 with reauthorization of the legislation approved by Congress last week.
According to Kelly, the bill expands opportunities for childhood cancer research and improves efforts to identify and track instances of childhood cancer.
The reauthorization bill allows the STAR Act to continue for the next five years.
Kelly is the co-chair of the Childhood Cancer Caucus.
