Rev. Deborah Lynn Crusan, age 67, of Prospect, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Butler Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born October 21, 1955 in Butler; she was the daughter of the late Robert and Pauline Critchlow McKinnis.
For over 40 years she has served as an ordained Presbyterian minister for many churches in the tri state area. Currently, she is the Pastor at the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church.
Rev. Deb has supported many religious endeavors such as youth groups, missionaries, and family counseling. She has also supported many local organizations including the New Castle
City Rescue Missions, local food banks, and animal shelters.
Deb loved genealogy, researching and discussing her family history, her pets, sitting on her back porch, sewing, and “Grammy’s Adventures” for vacation fun.
She is survived by her children Shawn Crusan of Butler, Caitlyn Heckathorn of Prospect, Troy (Chris) Crusan of New Castle; her two grandchildren Hunter Heckathorn and Rylee Heckathorn;
two aunts Eleanor Magill of Butler and Barb (Lou) Yaklich of Prospect; many cousins, and her close cousins John and Judy Osborne of Prospect.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas “Mole” McKinnis; step mother Alice Musser McKinnis; three uncles Floyd McKinnis, Henry Magill, John Abbey;
and her cousin Richard McKinnis.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 3pm to 7pm at the Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, pc., 387 Main Street, Prospect.
Visitation will also be on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 10am until time of service at 12Noon, in the Raisley Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Tom Harmon, Executive Presbyter of the
Beaver-Butler Presbytery, officiating.
Interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect.
