An online event later this week will provide information for chicken owners about best practices in the meat-bird industry.
Penn State Extension is offering a free webinar beginning Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. titled “Poultry Welfare Certification Course”. This program will continue Wednesday and Thursday at the same time.
Leading experts will teach participants about animal welfare, poultry behavior, biosecurity, and health and disease. Those completing the course and passing an exam will receive a certificate.
Registration and a $15 fee are required by visiting the Penn State Extension website.
