The 2023 Pitt Panthers football schedule was released Monday. Pitt will host Wofford and Cincinnati for their first two games of the season, which begins September 1st. Week three they visit West Virginia for the annual Backyard Brawl. It will be the first time the two teams play in Morgantown since 2011. Also on the road schedule is a trip to Notre Dame and then to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first-ever college football game played at Yankee Stadium, Pitt and Syracuse will face off in the Bronx at the new Yankee Stadium on Veterans Day, November 11th. Home games include ACC match-ups with North Carolina, Louisville, Florida State and Boston College. The date against the Seminoles is the first time Florida State has played in Pittsburgh since 2013, when Jameis Winston won the Heisman Trophy.
