A local lawyer is representing former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky as he appeals for a new trial.
According to a press release from the Lindsay Law Firm, Sandusky is filing a motion for a new trial on the grounds of newly discovered evidence.
Lindsay says a recently discovered transcript from a 2011 interview with one of the victims shows that the young man did not say he was sexually assaulted by Sandusky. Lindsay alleges that it wasn’t until 2018 when the victim told police he was sexually assaulted by Sandusky.
The 75-year-old Sandusky was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison for a number of charges related to sexually assaulting children during his time with Penn State.
