Traffic was slightly delayed yesterday evening after a crash in Jefferson Township.
The accident happened just after 5 p.m. on Route 356 at the intersection with Hannahstown Road.
Police say a 17-year-old driver was heading northbound and traveling too close to the car in front of him driven by 66-year-old Richard Peiffer of North Apollo.
When Peiffer tried to make a left turn into a business, the teen driver crashed into the back of his car.
Peiffer and his passenger 67-year-old Roxanne Johnson of Butler both suffered minor injuries, but did not need medical treatment.
The teen’s car was significantly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
