A man from Cabot is out hundreds of dollars after falling victim to a gift card scam.
Police say in this case, the scammer called an individual claiming to be his boss. The victim was told to pick up ten Visa gift cards for his co-workers for their hard work.
The man then drove to a Dollar General and bought ten $200 gift cards.
Police say if you receive an invite to pick up gift cards from an unknown individual over the phone, it is a scam and you should hang up immediately.
