A new bill would look to expand where “ready to drink” cocktails in a can could be sold.
Currently, the canned beverages can only be sold at state stores. But, the bill would then allow these drinks to be purchased at places like convenience and grocery stores.
State Senator Mike Regan says these drinks are becoming very popular.
“It’s the fastest growing segment of the alcohol industry in America. Pennsylvania stands to make between $150 to $200 million in tax revenue by year three,” Regan said.
Regan also believes that this bill would not impact the state store sales dramatically.
