Nearly 50 new state troopers are joining the ranks of the Pennsylvania State Police following their graduation over the weekend.
The 166th cadet class was honored in Hershey this weekend. Governor Josh Shapiro addressed the new troopers by video.
“You will be on the front lines of keeping our communities safe. Patrolling thousands of miles of the Commonwealth’s roadways and hundreds of townships and boroughs,” Shapiro said. “It is a profound responsibility and you have answered the call to service with determination, resilience, and humility.”
There were a number of Butler High School graduates in the class: Bayden Davenport, John Herold, Ryan Marcella, Justin Wehrli, and Salvador Zepeda.
