Another Western Pennsylvania resident has been sentenced for participation in the Capitol riots of January 2021.
After being convicted in August of last year of assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers with a deadly weapon, as well as obstruction and robbery, Robert Morss of Glenshaw will serve 66 months in prison.
Upon release, Morss will also be subject to 24 months of supervised release and be responsible for paying restitution of $2,000.
Officials say Morss tried to take a baton away from a police officer. He also was a part of a group that climbed through a broken window at the Capitol building and removed a chair from an office.
Morss was arrested in June of 2021.
