An event in Cranberry Township later this week will provide an opportunity for local motorists to address illegible license plates.
State Representative Stephenie Scialabba will be hosting a Hard-to-Read License Plate event at the Cranberry Township Police Department on Rochester Road from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday.
Officers at the event will have the required PennDOT forms to start the replacement process. Motorists with plates that cannot be read at 50 feet could be issued a $100 fine if no action is taken.
A similar event is planned for the same day and time at the Jackson Township Police Department in Zelienople. There is no cost to participate but registration is requested by calling Scialabba’s office.
