High School Sports:
–The Mars boys lacrosse team reached the PIAA Class 2A Semifinals after a 10-5 win over Susquehannock Saturday afternoon. The Planets will meet Lampeter-Strasburg Tuesday at Penn State. The match begins at 4pm.
The Mars girls fell 10-6 to Bishop Shanahan in their Quarterfinal match Saturday.
The Shaler baseball and softball teams became just the sixth to reach the PIAA Semifinals in history. Both teams play today. The Shaler softball team plays Armstrong in their Class 5A game today at Gateway high school.
