Adults- young and old- are welcome to enjoy an evening on the water at a local park this week.
Moraine State Park is holding a “Porters Cove Paddle” on Thursday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Porters Cove Boat Launch.
Park staff will discuss the history of this area and lead a nature-based exploration of the tributaries of Lake Arthur which could include sightings of herons, beavers, and other wildlife.
This beginners event is for ages 12 and older with those under 18 to be accompanied by an adult. Participants can bring their own kayaks. A limited number of kayaks are available. Life jackets are required. Visit the DCNR Calendar of Events website to reserve a spot or for more information.
