A large housing development in the Highfield area is moving forward with additional construction after receiving Township approval.
After hearing from the developer of the 39 acre Highfield Trails plan on South Duffy and Highfield Roads, the commissioners gave final approval for phase two of the 100 unit plan which is 24 single family homes.
Construction on phase one of the cluster development began about two years ago and 27 of the houses that are part of that phase have already been sold.
Storm water plans for the entire development have already been completed and residences in phase two will be subject to the same homeowners agreement as those being constructed in phase one.
With this final approval for phase two, paving the rest of the roadway within the development could take place later this year.
