Gas prices remained stable both locally as well as across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded, self-serve gas in Butler, as of Monday, remained at $3.67 per gallon.
The average gas price across western Pennsylvania as a whole also stayed even over the same period of time at $3.65. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in DuBois at $3.42, while the most expensive is in Beaver at $3.72.
The average national gas price fell by two cents over the past week to reach $3.57 which is $1.41 less than one year ago.
Both demand for gas and the price of oil decreased this week due to increased domestic inventories as well as market concerns about the Federal Reserve resuming interest rate increases.
