Cranberry Township has been awarded a state grant to improve local traffic conditions.
The township will receive nearly $166,000 in grants through the PennDOT Green Light Go program to modernize equipment.
The money will be used for updating vehicle detection along roadways throughout the municipality.
A total of 77 municipalities across the state received a combined nearly $36 million as part of this program. The Green Light Go Project is funded through Act 89 and will be managed by PennDOT.
