Three Butler County libraries are teaming up for a yearly major book sale that begins this weekend.
The four-day Butler BookFest will feature around 150,000 used books for sale at the Butler Farm Show grounds.
Books will be available for $4 starting Friday, and then increasing discounts will be offered throughout the rest of the sale.
There will also be used DVDs, CDs, and LPs for sale at the event as well as toys, puzzles, and household items. A local author showcase is planned for Saturday and a food truck will be on site Monday and Tuesday.
BookFest runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Monday. Tuesday the event wraps up at 3 p.m. but visitors can fill a brown grocery bag for $10.
There is no admission fee but visitors will be able to participate in a basket raffle with 31 baskets to choose from. This event benefits three area libraries—Prospect, Slippery Rock, and South Butler.
