Authorities are continuing to search for a driver who fled from police late last week in Center Township.
According to State Police, troopers attempted to pull over a black or dark colored Ford Mustang on Route 8 near Sunset Drive just before 9:30pm on Friday after the driver allegedly passed multiple vehicles illegally at a high rate of speed.
Officials say that the driver refused to pull over and led troopers on a pursuit that included portions of Mercer Road and Sunset Drive before continuing back onto Route 8. Troopers say that the pursuit was later terminated due to unsafe speeds.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the driver or a description of the vehicle are asked to call the State Police in Butler.
