Butler City Police say that a man who was hit by a train earlier this morning has died.
The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. at the railroad tracks underneath the South Monroe Street Bridge, which is known as the Lookout Point Bridge.
Police say that a 54-year-old man was hit by a train that was a part of the Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad Company.
The man was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with massive chest and head trauma, but was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The man has not been named by police, but they say his family has been notified.
The investigation is ongoing, but police say the incident appears to be accidental.
