MLB Wild Card Series all end in two games

Major League Baseball Wild Card Playoffs:
–The defending National League champion Philadelphia Phillies eliminated the Miami Marlins following a 7-1 victory last night. The Phillies have now won four straight Wild Card Series. They meet Atlanta in the divisional round.
–Texas ended the Tampa Bay Rays season following a 7-1 victory to sweep their best-of-three series. The Rays have now lost seven straight post-season games, and have been swept in consecutive wild-card series. The Rangers move on to a best-of-five division series with Baltimore. Only 20,198 fans were in attendance Wednesday in St. Pete.
–The Arizona Diamondbacks completed a sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers following a 5-2 victory last night. Arizona will meet the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday.
–The Minnesota Twins eliminated the Toronto Blue Jays following a 2-0 victory last evening. The Twins will meet Houston in the division round. Minnesota won its first post-season series in 21 years.
