A local government official was recently recognized with an honor from a statewide organization for his hard work.
Butler Township Commissioner Dave Zarnick received an award for outstanding service to the township and the state at the Pennsylvania Association of Township Commissioners conference.
At the event, Zarnick and Butler Township Manager Tom Knights spoke with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Secretary Michael Carroll about the reconfiguration of the intersection of Hansen Avenue and Whitestown Road.
Carroll accepted an invitation to visit the project area sometime in the next month.
