One person died in a crash that happened early this morning in Butler Township.
The accident happened just before 5 a.m. at the dead end/turnaround on New Castle Road—about a half-mile from the intersection with Greenwood Drive.
Township police say that an SUV was driving westbound and failed to make the turn around. The man driving the vehicle then hit an embankment, went airborne, and rolled over.
The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His identity has not been revealed as police are still contacting those close to the man.
The investigation is ongoing.
